Hiking in Redwoods is my husband's and my ultimate goal; we're sort of pipe dream planning a cross-country hiking road trip, where we just go on trails in all different states until we get to California, then turn around and do it all over again! I can't even imagine the feeling of standing next to one of those giant trees; that realization of how small you really are in comparison to the rest of the world is a powerful feeling.

Good on your son! I'm a big momma's boy so I definitely could see myself doing the same thing. :) Fight that Blah!
