It certainly feels very foreboding and like a process that I very much wouldn't want to go through. But I'll admit that I've had those thoughts before with things that I used to be very proficient with - 'It's only been fifteen years since I've seriously played the clarinet; surely it will be like riding a bike!' - only to find myself highly overestimating my own abilities. I feel for Henry here a lot.
